Qatar Visa on arrival
Qatar allows citizens of 95 countries to enter the country with a visa on arrival, which varies by visa waiver period and permitted stay. The Qatar-Oman Joint Tourist Visa permits entry into the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman for a 30-day period, which can be extended for an additional 30 days for a fee. The following conditions must be met in order to qualify for a visa on arrival:
- Passports must be valid for at least six months
- A confirmed return ticket is required.
- There must be a hotel reservation for the entire stay period. A Discover Qatar booking is mandatory for nationals of Pakistan, India, Iran, Thailand, and Ukraine. The hotel bookings of other nationalities will suffice.
- The immigration counter may ask for proof of sufficient funds (QAR 5,000) with an international debit or credit card for some nationalities (India, Pakistan, etc.)
- A visitor must have a mandatory health insurance policy (local or international) through an insurance company approved by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).

The Hayya portal has been relaunched since the Qatar World Cup and is now a unified platform for visitors to apply for visas. Tourists (A1), GCC residents of all professions (A2), companions of GCC residents (A4), and international visitors with UK, Canada, USA, Schengen, and New Zealand visas/residency (A3) are now eligible to apply for a visa to Qatar.
The Hayya portal makes it easy to apply for all of these visas by selecting the appropriate visa category. Fill out the required details, scan the required documents, and provide proof of accommodation. The accommodation can be either a hotel or a host (friends or family in Qatar). In the latter case, the host has to apply for the visa on your behalf.
- Make sure to pay a visa fee of QAR 100 (if applicable) per applicant and proceed with the application.

Companions of GCC Residents (A4)

Hayya with Me (1+3) visa feature
Hayya with Me is available only to international Hayya card holders who can invite up to three family members or friends. Each international fan can access the three Voucher Codes provided under the ‘Hayya with Me’ feature on their profile by logging into the Hayya portal. Voucher Codes can be shared with friends and family who wish to visit Qatar, and they can be used regardless of whether the person inviting is present. (1+3) Hayya with Me visas are multiple-entry visas, and all Hayya cardholders must meet the same requirements as visitors.
The Hayya Entry Permit is sent to the applicant’s email ID once the application has been submitted and approved. Qatar will accept this permit as your visa.
