For determining when individuals can submit applications for adjustment of status, individuals should use the “Final Action Dates” charts below, unless otherwise indicated on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website at www.uscis.gov/visabulletininfo. This Bulletin will state on its website that applicants may instead use the “Dates for Filing Visa Applications” charts in this Bulletin if there are more immigrant visas available than known applicants for such visas.

Final Action Dates for Family

Any date on the chart below indicates a class that is oversubscribed (see paragraph 1); “C” represents current, i.e. numbers are available to all qualified applicants; and “U” represents unauthorized, i.e. numbers are not available. (NOTE: The issuance of numbers is authorized only for applicants with priority dates prior to the final action dates listed below.)

In January, applicants from all countries with a prior priority date of 22OCT19 are exempt from the per-country limit for F2A numbers. There is a per-country limit on the issuance of F2A numbers for applicants charging to all countries except Mexico, with priority dates beginning 22OCT19 and before 01NOV19. MEXICO is exempt from the per-country limit on all F2A numbers provided.

Dates for Filing Family

This chart shows the dates for submitting visa applications within a timeframe that warrants immediate action. Following receipt of notification from the National Visa Center containing detailed instructions, applicants with a priority date earlier than the application date in the chart below can prepare and submit required documents to the Department of State. A category that is oversubscribed is the priority date of the first applicant unable to submit documentation for an immigrant visa to the National Visa Center. All applicants in the relevant category may apply, regardless of their priority date, if that category is designated as “current.”

It indicates that the category is current, and applications can be filed despite the applicant’s priority date if the “C” listing appears. If a specific date is listed for a particular category, only those applicants whose priority date is earlier than the listed date may apply.
