Qatar visa on arrival eligible countries

It is not necessary for nationals of these countries to arrange a visa in advance before traveling to Qatar. Hotel bookings must be valid for the duration of the visit if visitors intend to stay in Qatar.

There will, however, be two categories of countries eligible for Qatar visas on arrival, according to the type of visa on arrival they qualify for.

90-day stay period

Individuals from the following countries will be granted a 180-day waiver upon issuance and will be able to spend 90 days in Qatar during either a single trip or multiple trips.

30-day stay period

From the date of issuance, citizens of the following countries are allowed a 30-day visa-free stay, which may be extended for another 30 days.

Andorra, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bolivia, Bosnia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Georgia, Guyana, Hong Kong, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Macau, Macedonia, Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Russia, Rwanda, San Marino, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Suriname, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City, Venezuela.

Visa exemption for GCC countries

Qatar also grants visa-free entry to citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates), as well as other countries.

Qatar visa on arrival requirements

Visa-free entry to Qatar is available to passengers from countries eligible for the Qatar visa on arrival if they meet the following requirements:

Passengers must be citizens of an eligible country
Passport must be valid for at least six months
Onward or return tickets must be confirmed
For the duration of their stay in Qatar, passengers must hold a valid hotel reservation
Qatar Ministry of Public Health-registered companies must provide health insurance
Pakistani and Indian passengers may also need the following:
- In order to obtain a Qatar visa on arrival, you will need to show proof of funds or a credit card. A minimum balance of QAR 5000 needs to be carried on your international debit/credit card.
- For proof that the balance equals QAR 5000, a bank statement might be required.

Qatar Visa On Arrival Rules for India, Pakistan, Iran, Thailand and Ukraine travellers

As long as you meet certain requirements, Indians, Pakistanis, Iranians, and Thais can also obtain a free visa on arrival in Qatar for a maximum stay of 30 days.

Confirmation of return ticket is required
Obtain health insurance from a company registered with the Health Ministry of Qatar

A passport, a return or onward ticket, a hotel booking confirmation, a vaccination certificate, and an international credit/debit card with three months’ bank statement are required, and you must follow all procedures and requirements the immigration officer asks for.

In Qatar, a small sticker will be applied to your passport if you have been granted a visa upon arrival.

Qatar visa extensions are available to passengers from countries eligible for 30-day visas. Following these steps will guide you through the process of extending your visa online through the Ministry of Interior portal:

You will need to fill in all the details, including your “Visa Number” (found on the passport sticker), your “Passport Number”, and your “Nationality”.
