Nationals of all countries, except citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council, can apply for a Qatar Tourist Visa.

• From the date of entry, the visitor’s passport must be valid for at least three months.
• The visitor should have a return ticket if arriving by air.
• The visitor should have confirmed his or her accommodation. “Family and Friends Hosting” or “Other Accommodation” (hotel booking or rented apartment). Around 90 countries are exempt from the accommodation requirement (see list below).
• There should be health insurance for the visitor (according to MOPH guidelines).

If you wish to visit Qatar, you can obtain a tourist visa that will allow you to see the cities and the many attractions that the country has to offer. Qatar tourist visas come in two types: short Qatar tourist visas last for 2 weeks, and long Qatar tourist visas last for 3 months.

Visitor entry permits are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, so visitors must enter within that time period.

How To Apply For Qatar Tourist Visa Online

The following steps can help you apply for a Tourist Visa through the Hayya Portal:

Step 1: Visit the Hayya Portal website

Step 2: Click on the “My Hayya” button mentioned above the image

Step 3: If you are a first-time user of the Hayya portal, click on “Sign Up” and enter your email address. Enter the verification code sent to your email address. Enter code to create your account.

After creating an account, click on the Login button to access your account.

Step 4: Click on the “Apply for Hayya” button, we mentioned below the image

Step 5: Select the “Tourist Visa A1” category from the drop-down menu.

Step 6: Select the Visit Purpose

Select from leisure, sports events, job seeking, business meetings, weddings, shopping, medical care, cultural tourism, visiting friends, attending conventions and events, or select “Others” and specify the purpose.

Step 7: Upload Your Photo

Select “I have reviewed the instructions for uploading my personal photo and passport”. Click “Browse Personal Photo”.

The photo should have a light background and be sharp.

Step 8: Upload Your Passport

Select “Browse for the first page” and upload only the first page of your passport. Crop it so that the machine-readable zone (MRZ) is visible. Click “Save” to complete the process.

The data will be extracted automatically. You can manually enter unreadable data.

Click “Validate User“. After automatic data extraction, select “Passport Type” as “Normal” if the “Validate User” option is not available.

First and last names are mandatory. Middle names, third Latin names, and fourth Latin names are optional. The last name on your passport may be your father’s if it doesn’t appear on your passport. If that is the case, you should upload the last page of your passport along with the first page (to verify your father’s name).

Step 9: Provide Your Residency Information

choose your country of birth and your country of residence. If you have had a previous nationality, please declare it. Select the country if you have one.

Step 10: Select Your Accommodation Type

A family or friend in Qatar should have already added your details if you are staying with them.

Otherwise, you can select “Other Accommodation” and enter the name of the accommodation.

Step 11: Enter Your Contact Information

Please enter your phone number and emergency contact information. Click on “Review & Submit“.

Step 12: Pay the Visa Fee

Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you will receive an email with a payment link. The visa fee of QR 100 should be paid using a credit/debit card. Visa or Mastercard are usually accepted.

The Hayya Entry Permit will be emailed to you once the visa application has been processed. The Hayya To Qatar app also allows you to access your Entry Permit.

Hayya Tourist Visa Processing Time

In the case of Hayya applications from international fans, it takes 5 calendar days for preliminary approval (subject to the quality of the photo and passport copy). It may take an additional 24 hours for accommodation confirmation (depending on the type of accommodation).

• Hayya Entry Permits are valid for 30 days. Therefore, applications must be submitted within 30 days of travel.
• Qatar requires that the passport is valid for a minimum of three (3) months from the date of entry.
• For each adult family member, a separate application is required.
• The details of the children need to be filled in on your Hayya account if you want them added as dependents. Children can also be applied for separately.
• The holders of visas are not allowed to work in Qatar during their stay.
