Qatar New Visa Rules 2023
Qatar has developed the following new visa rules for 2023:
Qatar Visa Health Insurance
Visitors and foreign residents in Qatar will be required to obtain health insurance beginning 1 February 2023. Monthly insurance premiums are QAR 50.
When a visitor applies for a visit visa via the Ministry of Interior’s website (Qatar Visas) or the Metrash App, they will be directed to the Ministry of Public Health’s website, where they must choose from among the insurance companies registered with the Ministry to purchase a visitors’ policy after fulfilling the other visa requirements.
The Ministry will issue the appropriate visa after the selected insurance company issues the health insurance policy. The date of entry at any border determines the effective date of coverage.
A visitor who wishes to extend their stay in Qatar must purchase a new insurance policy.
